I am a chemistry major at Hofstra University who is working towards receiving a Bachelor of Sciences degree. My minor is in mathematics. This is my last semester as a senior and I have tutored other college students in mathematics and chemistry throughout my time at Hofstra University.I enjoy showing my students how there are cool parts to the subject that they are studying and that it can be applicable in their life outside of the classroom. I learned that I cannot simply drill information into the heads of my students without first educating them on why they need to learn it. While chemistry is my favorite subject to tutor, I do help students with their AP Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, and all mathematics from Algebra 1 through College Algebra.My philosophy is that patience is needed, as fully understanding a subject can take time. Students need to be able to enjoy the work that they are doing. I try to instill patience and discipline into the students that I tutor.In my spare time, I have fun playing sports such as football and basketball. I also like to exercise and play video games involving professional sports.
